Ever wonder which snakes consider Cleveland Metroparks
    home?

If so, join Cleveland Metroparks for the "Surveying Snakes and
Singers in South Chagrin" program on Saturday, July 10 from
6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Jackson Field in South Chagrin
    Reservation.

Adults can join Naturalists Carly Martin and Stefanie Verish, for a
nighttime walk in search of snakes and singing insects of every
sort.  The search is held during 'prime time' for snakes and
    singing insects.

Special techniques such as the use of ultra violet lights, will be
used to discover, catch and identify a variety of snakes in South
    Chagrin Reservation.

Snakes that are found will be identified, measured, weighed, and
released. Visitors are encouraged to take pictures of their
    discoveries!

Long pants and bug spray are recommended for this program.

Registration is required and space is limited.

Jackson Field is located off Jackson Road in South Chagrin
Reservation, north of Miles Road in Moreland Hills.

Register by emailing LALreg@clevelandmetroparks.com, or call
    440-247-7075 for more information.

Snake surveys aren't the only way to discover and learn more about
snakes in Cleveland Metroparks. Mark calendars now for
"Snakes, Turtles & Fun!" - a free event on Saturday,
August 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Shelterhouse Picnic Area in South
    Chagrin Reservation in Bentleyville.

Discover  what snakes make their home in Cleveland
Metroparks  -  part of your life, naturally.
