With the summer season upon us, there are plenty of ways to beat
the heat in Cleveland Metroparks, including:
SWIMMING
Make a splash at any of the following swimming areas this
summer:
HUNTINGTON BEACH: OPEN JUNE 5 THRU AUGUST 16 �
FREE!
11 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily � Huntington Reservation
Discover the beauty of Huntington Beach, located on the shores of
Lake Erie in Bay Village, while enjoying the surf, sand, sun, and
ever-changing views of the lake. Huntington Beach is located
off Lake Road in Huntington Reservation in Bay Village.
HINCKLEYLAKE SWIMMING AREA: OPEN JUNE 5 THRU
AUGUST 16 � FREE!
11 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily � Hinckley Reservation
Hinckley Lake Swimming Area features picnic areas, grills, a
waterfall dam, and more! Hinckley Lake Swimming Area is located off
Bellus Road in Hinckley Reservation, between West and East drives
in HinckleyTownship.
WALLACELAKE SWIMMING AREA: OPEN JUNE 5 THRU
AUGUST 16 �FREE!
11 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily � Mill Stream Run Reservation
Wallace Lake Swimming Area features a relaxing beach, the Quarry
Rock Caf� concession stand, a baseball field, and paddleboat
rentals (nominal fee). WallaceLake is located off Valley Parkway in
Mill Stream Run Reservation, south of Bagley Road in
Berea.
Ledge Pool & Recreation area: NOW Open thru
AUGUST 22 � PAID ADMISSION
11 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily � Hinckley Reservation
Ledge Pool & Recreation Area features the heated 80'x100'
swimming pool, Ledge Rock Caf� concession stand, shore fishing at
Ledge Lake, sand volleyball and basketball courts, and reservable
picnic areas. Ledge Pool & Recreation area is located at 1151
Ledge Road in Hinckley Reservation, between Kellogg and State roads
in HinckleyTownship. The pool can be used by daily admission fee or
season pass:

Lifeguards are on duty at all four swimming areas during posted
swimming hours.

A variety of fish can be caught including bass, trout, crappie,
and bluegill. An Ohio fishing license is required for ages 16
to 65.
BOATING
Park visitors can paddle away into the horizon on boating
excursions at the following locations in the Park District:
EMERALD NECKLACE MARINA - located in Rocky River
Reservation, off Valley Parkway in Lakewood.
HINCKLEYLAKEBOATHOUSE - located in Hinckley
Reservation, off West Drive in HinckleyTownship.
WALLACELAKE - located in Mill Stream Run
Reservation, off Valley Parkway in Berea.
Fishing and boating areas are open daily, from 6 a.m. to
11 p.m.
