    Monthly Morning with the Birds

    Saturday, August 7 8 - 10 a.m.

Rocky River Nature Center parking lot Rocky River Reservation

Join Naturalist Wendy Weirich to try to track down some of the
residents and migrants of the bird world. This is a good
opportunity to learn more about the great, popular past time of
birding. Some binoculars will be provided, but feel free to bring
your own. Rocky RiverNatureCenter is located at 24000 Valley
Parkway in Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar Point Road in

    Bird banding: Songbirds and Hummingbirds

    Sunday, August 8
    9:30 a.m. - noon

    Rocky RiverNatureCenter
     Rocky River
    Reservation

Bird banding is an essential tool for studying our feathered
friends. Join Cleveland Metroparks for an up-close look, better
than binoculars, at this capture, band and release program near the
feeders, including hummingbirds. The event will be cancelled if it
rains. Stop by any time between 9:30 a.m. and noon. Rocky
RiverNatureCenter is located at 24000 Valley Parkway in Rocky River
Reservation, north of Cedar Point Road in North Olmsted. For more
    information, call 440-734-6660.

    Sunday Bird Walk

    Sunday, August 22
    8 - 10 a.m.

    Rogers Road
    parking lot North Chagrin Reservation

August brings the end of bird breeding season and the very
beginning of bird migration. Adults and teens are invited to join
the walk heading to the swamp to search for birds along the way.
Some binoculars will be available to borrow, but feel free to bring
your own. Rogers Road parking lot is located off Rogers Road in
North Chagrin Reservation, off Chagrin River Road, between Chardon
Road/Route 6 and Wilson Mills Road in Gates Mills.  For more
