Cleveland Metroparks welcomes all the land, water and air safety
organizations attending the new "Safety Expo & Ice Cream
Social" event on Saturday, July 31 from 1 to 5 p.m. at
WallaceLake in Mill Stream Run Reservation in Berea.
Walk around and meet 14 safety organizations on-hand. And
then at approximately 3 p.m., look to the skies as Metro Life
Flight lands in the open field near WallaceLake to join the free
event.
And, as part of the event, visitors can enjoy a free ice cream
treat at Quarry Rock Caf�, too!
Accidents happen, but learn what to do in case of an accident or an
emergency from the professionals. The event features:
Cleveland Metroparks Ranger Department, Cleveland Metroparks
Aquatics Division, Berea Fire Department with a fire truck and
ambulance, Rainbow Babies and Children's Injury Prevention Center,
Southwest Enforcement Bureau Bomb Unit Robot, B.A.R.K
(Buckeye Area Regional K-9) with K-9 demonstrations, Cuyahoga
County Emergency Management Agency, Southwest Emergency Response
Team, The Greater Cleveland Safety Council, Aluminum Cans for
Burned Children, American Red Cross, PNC Grow Up Great Mobile
Learning Adventure, and more.
Cleveland Metroparks Rangers will also be conducting an infant,
toddler and child car seat check station, to ensure proper
installation and ensure child safety.
