As the full moon approaches, the nights become a little
brighter.
Experience Cleveland Metroparks own kind of twilight at the
"Nature at Night" event on Saturday, July 24 from 5
to
11 p.m. at NorthChagrinNatureCenter in North Chagrin Reservation
in MayfieldVillage.
"Nature at Night" is a free, evening-long celebration
of the beauty and mystery of nature at night. Visitors can
enjoy a variety of activities related to the night from 5 to 9
p.m., including: live animal presentations with native and Ohio
nocturnal animals, a puppet theater, a nocturnal animal maze,
children's crafts, and more.
Enjoy nighttime songs with Kevin Conaway from 5:30 to 7 p.m and
7:30 to 9 p.m. And, enjoy storytelling with the dynamic
Jennifer Johnson at 6, 7 and 8 p.m.
Don't miss the popular starlab inside the nature center. View
stars, planets, galaxies, and more. A new presentation is
offered every 15 minutes from 5 to 11 p.m.
Once the sun sets, it's time to discover the park after dark.
Enjoy moon viewing through telescopes (weather permitting) and
nature night stations around the nature center's grounds, featuring
bats, spiders, amphibians, and fish.
Visitors can browse the great merchandise selections of EarthWords
Nature Shops, and enjoy refreshments for purchase, too.
And, be sure to bring blankets/lawnchairs to enjoy an outdoor movie
- "Night at the Museum II" - at
9 p.m. on the nature center's lawn.
NorthChagrinNatureCenter is located off Buttermilk Falls Parkway,
off the Sunset Lane entrance of North Chagrin Reservation, off SOM
Center Road/Route 91 in MayfieldVillage - south of the I-90/Rte. 91
