    You don't have to be next Picasso to enjoy or participate in any of
    the following free art-related programs offered by Cleveland
    Metroparks in late July and August:

                                       


    Young Artists' Nature Show

    Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25 � 11a.m. - 3 p.m. 

    Look About Lodge � South Chagrin Reservation

    Stop by Look About Lodge to see the talent of young nature
    artists. This two-day exhibit features the work of participants in
    the Young Artists' Adventure Camp. Look About Lodge is located at
    37374 Miles Road in South Chagrin Reservation, between SOM Center
    Road/Route 91 and Chagrin River Road in Bentleyville. For more

    Art Display

    August 1 through August 28 � 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., daily

    CanalWay Center � Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation

    The Cleveland Astronomical Society has been meeting and
    presenting public programs at CanalWay Center for nearly 10 years.
    Come view their astronomy-related photos and see the night sky
    through the lenses of these educators, engineers and researchers.
    CanalWayCenter is located on Whittlesey Way, off the East 49th
    Street entrance of Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation, between Grant
    Avenue and Canal Road in CuyahogaHeights. For more information,

    Artist In The Park: Shadows In The Lake

    Saturday, August 14 �
    2  - 4 p.m.  

    ShadowLake
    � South Chagrin Reservation

    Naturalist and artist Stefanie Verish will be at ShadowLake.
    Stop by to watch her create some art, try sketching, or bring
    supplies and join her in a nature-art experience. ShadowLake is
    located off Hawthorn Parkway in South Chagrin Reservation, between
    Solon and Richmond roads in Solon. For more information, call

    Nature Drawing Workshop

    Thursday, August 26 �
    9:30 - 11:30 a.m.  

    West Creek Reservation

    Jen Brumfield, naturalist and scientific illustrator, leads
    this relaxed session of leisure drawing.  Pick up tips on
    drawing from real life, and learn how to really see nature - not
    just look at it. The program is in the woods, fields and creekside.
    Bring a fold-up chair or stool, a sketch pad and drawing utensils.
    West Creek Reservation entrance is located off West Ridgewood
    Drive, between State and Broadview roads in Parma.  For more

    Artist In The Park: Rendering A River

    Saturday, August 28 �
    10 a.m. -
    noon  

    Jackson Field � South Chagrin Reservation

    Naturalist and artist Stefanie Verish will be at Jackson Field
    by the river's edge. Stop by to watch her render the river
    artistically, try sketching, or bring supplies and join her in a
    nature-art experience. Jackson Field is located off Jackson Road in
    South Chagrin Reservation, north of Miles Road, east of SOM Center
    Road/Rte. 91 in Moreland Hills. For more information, call
