    BROOKSTOCK - A CELEBRATON OF MUSIC & NATURE IS PACKED WITH ENTERTAINMENT AND ACTIVITIES

    Cleveland Metroparks "BrookStock - A Celebration of Music
    & Nature" continues to add new entertainment and
    activities to the great day-long event.  The event is on
    Saturday, July 17 from 2 to 8:30 p.m. at the Brookside Valley Event
    Site in Brookside Reservation in Cleveland.

     

    Bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy music all day. 
    "BrookStock" features the following bands:

    2 p.m.          Silver
    String Band - bluegrass & jazz

    3:30 p.m.      Hey Mavis - Americana

    5 p.m.          Mo'MoJo -
    Cajun & New Orleans style

    6:30 p.m.      Carlos Jones & the
    P.L.U.S. Band - reggae





    Along with great music throughout the afternoon and evening, enjoy
    "BrookStock" vendors and exhibitors, arts and crafts, a
    juggler, games and activities, hikes, live animals, and
    more! 

     

    And there's more!  The first 1,000 visitors will receive a
    free Frisbee at the Revol Wireless booth.

     

    And, just added to the great line-up: A Better Pet LLC will have
    demonstrations of dogs catching Frisbees at 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30
    p.m.  Watch as "Trip" leaps into the air to snatch
    some of the Revol Wireless Frisbees.

     

    Festival-goers can stop by the following vendors and exhibitors:
    Art House, Cleveland Hula Hoop Group, Friends of Big Creek, Greater
    Cleveland Beekeepers Association, Jewelry by Karen Beck, Kiteman,
    Lake ErieNature & ScienceCenter, Lucky Penny Creamery, Old
    Brooklyn Development, PNC Mobile Grow Up Great, Shea Pottery,
    Renewal by Andersen, Revol Wireless, and Woodstock Soap. 

     

    Plus, look up to the skies as the "Kiteman" flies some of
    his great kites and will be selling kites, too.

     

    And, visit EarthWords Nature Shop area to view and purchase
    merchandise and make a tie-dye t-shirt, too.  Visitors can buy
    shirts from EarthWords for $5, or bring their own t-shirts and
    print for a $1 to create their own

    tie-dye shirt creations.  Shop staff and Scene Magazine
    volunteers will help with the dyes to help create a
    "groovy" shirt.

     

    Kids, ages 10 and under, can enjoy the PNC Mobile Grow Up Great
    display, featuring crafts and activities, career costumes to try on
    and have their photo taken as a future rock star, doctor, or
    fireman, and more.

     

    Refreshments and Ben & Jerry's ice cream will be available for
    sale, too.

     

    Brookside Valley Event Site is located off John Nagy Blvd., off the
    Ridge Rd. entrance of Brookside Reservation in Cleveland - north of
    the I-480/Ridge Rd. exit.
