    Come Out and Vote for Your Favorite Tree in "Holiday Tree Decoration" Contest

    Cleveland Metroparks invites everyone to come out and vote in
    the �Holiday Tree Decoration� Contest, as part of the Chalet's
    2010-11 Promotional Schedule at the Chalet Toboggan Chutes in
    Strongsville.



    The decorated trees will be on display through December
    20.  The organizations participating can also encourage
    students, family and friends to vote for their tree.  Ballots
    will be available at the Chalet.  Voting ends December 20.
     The winning group receives a private tobogganing party at the
    Chalet Toboggan Chutes for up to 50 people, which includes 50
    toboggan passes, 50 hot dogs, chips and drinks.  Prizes will
    be awarded to second and third place, too!



    Participating organizations are: Columbia High School, Fairview
    Park ECPTA, Girl Scout Troop 729, Kensington Intermediate School,
    Magnificat High School, Polaris Medical Billing & Coding,
    Strongsville High School (National Art Honor Society) 1,
    Strongsville High School (National Art Honor Society) 2, and
    WeTeach@CSU.



    The guidelines for the contest were:




    • No electrical lights or devices may be used in decorating the
      tree


    • Each group must incorporate their name and Cleveland Metroparks
      logo on the tree.



    After the winning group is announced on December 20, all of the
    trees will be delivered to local retirement homes to be enjoyed for
    the holidays.



    And, while there voting, experience the ultimate winter thrill
    of tobogganing at the Chalet Toboggan Chutes in Strongsville, with
    extended holiday hours - December 20 to January 2!  Hearts
    will race as riders slide up to 50 miles per hour down the twin,
    700-foot, refrigerated ice chutes - the only public ice
    chutes in Ohio! All-day admission is ONLY $8 for adults and $6 for
    children, 11 and under. Call 440-572-9990 for exact hours and more

    The Chalet Recreation Area is located at 16200 Valley Parkway in
    Mill Stream Run Reservation, between Routes 42 and 82 in
    Strongsville - just a short distance from I-71 and the Ohio
    Turnpike.
