Cleveland Metroparks invites everyone to witness the
breathtaking views of Bedford Reservation by participating in any
of the following free September programs:
Bedford Bootcamp
Saturday, September 11 � 9 a.m. - 1:30

Egbert Picnic Area parking lot � Bedford
Reservation
This program leads participants on a Buckeye
Trail adventure. The fast-paced, 8- to 9-mile hike follows the blue
blazes as they wind through Bedford Reservation. Spectacular sites
include those of Bridal Veil Falls and Tinker's Creek Scenic Gorge.
Egbert Picnic Area is located off Gorge Parkway in Bedford
Reservation, off Egbert Road in Walton Hills. For more information,

Adults are invited to join Naturalists Jen
Brumfield and Stefanie Verish, authors of The Fascinated
Naturalist's Guide to Ferns of Cleveland Metroparks, as they
venture out into the cool shadows of deep woodlands to seek out the
brilliant diversity of delicate and elegant ferns that decorate the
forest floor. Discover the intriguing life history and
identification of some of Northeast Ohio's most
stunning plants. Tinker's Creek Gorge Scenic Overlook is located
off Gorge Parkway in Bedford Reservation, between Dunham and

Bootcamp has become extreme. Join Naturalist
Valerie Fetzer for a tour of spectacular scenery. During the
12-mile loop hike, tackle challenging terrain and possible creek
crossings, so come prepared with appropriate footwear, snacks and
water. Hemlock Creek Picnic Area is located off Button Road in
Bedford Reservation, just east of Dunham Road in Walton Hills. For

Woodlands of Bedford: Deerlick Creek Riparian Adventure

Volunteer Naturalist Fred Losi guides an
in-stream exploration of Deerlick Creek. Three beautiful waterfalls
will be encountered - Fishbowl, Bridal Veil and QuarryFalls.
Wettable footwear is a must while slowly exploring this isolated
tributary on Tinker's Creek. Bring a camera to capture the many
views. Lost Meadows Picnic Area is located off Gorge Parkway in
Bedford Reservation, between Dunham and Egbert roads in Walton

Located in Bedford, BedfordHeights, Oakwood, Valley View, and
Walton Hills, Bedford Reservation gives the appearance of a
continuous forest of large trees and challenging terrain. Flowing
through Bedford Reservation is Tinker's Creek, which drops a
dramatic 220 feet over a course of two miles and has cut a steep,
walled gorge, which is a National Natural Landmark.
