Free admission for everyone 55 years and better at Senior Safari

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is enjoyable for all ages, from the young to the young-at-heart. To prove it, the Zoo is hosting Senior Safari on Friday, August 27. On that day, anyone age 55 and better receives free admission to the Zoo, including The RainForest. Plus, there are plenty of activities to keep people moving, literally.

Cleveland Clinic Healthwise Connection will present a number of free exercise demonstrations, including Fitpaths, Tai Chi and Jazzercise, as well as blood pressure and osteoporosis screenings. Once you get your heart pumping, stop by the Palava Hut Pavilion to visit 50 exhibitors distributing health and wellness information from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Be sure to check out the Discount Drug Mart tables for more health screenings and information.

Next, dance to the upbeat tempo of the Progressive Field Dixieland Band in the Welcome Plaza from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Finally, all seniors will receive free admission to the hugely popular DINOSAURS! exhibit.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with extended summer weekend hours. Admission is $10 per person ages 12 and older, $7 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children under 2 and Zoo members. Parking is free. Located at 3900 Wildlife Way, the Zoo is easily accessible from Interstates 71, 77, 90 and 480.
