Celebrate Mother's Day at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Since mothers come in all shapes, sizes and species, what better place to celebrate Mother's Day than at the Zoo? All moms receive FREE admission to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and The RainForest on Sunday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Throughout the day, educational interpreters will answer questions and educate visitors about various animal mothers. Get-Close programs will allow guests to visit face-to-face with some of the Zoo's smaller animals.

It will be a day filled with activities focused on fun, families and health. UH MacDonald Women's Hospital and Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital professionals will be on hand to provide health information and answer questions on a variety of subjects, including robotic surgery featuring the daVinci Surgical System. Child health information and children's activities will also be available.

New this year, Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital will provide a free photo booth for moms and their families to capture memories. The photo booth and other activities will be located on the Zoo's Welcome Plaza, just inside the main entrance.

Treat Mom's taste buds by reserving a spot at the annual Mother's Day Breakfast in the Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building. The breakfast features a full menu, including an omelet station. The cost of the breakfast is $23 for adults (12 and up), $19 for children (2-11) and free for children under 2. Breakfast is served 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Doors open at 8 a.m. Reservations can be made by calling (216) 635-3304.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with extended summer weekend hours. Admission is $10 per person ages 12 and older, $7 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children under 2 and Zoo members. Parking is free.
