Park Pathways Intern Partnership (PPIP) Mentors

Are you a good role model? Do you want to help young students achieve success? Become a PPIP Mentor! Mentors work with high school students from Washington Park Environmental Studies Academy through an intern partnership program with Cleveland Metroparks and Cleveland Metropolitan School District. PPIP Mentor volunteers are paired with a PPIP student for one (1) hour every other week during the summer (June-August) for the duration of the two (2) year program.  Mentors assist students with job readiness issues, work ethics, problem-solving and career exploration.  Mentors will meet with mentees at their worksite to assist them in developing job relationships and addressing job responsibilities. Prospective PPIP Mentor volunteers must be 45 years or older, complete a supplement application, participate in an interview, and submit to a background check.  If accepted, volunteers must attend a mentor training class.
