This exhibit features two series of sustainable art by Emily Bryant. One is a collection of invasive insect collages made of pressed invasive plant species found in Northeast Ohio. The American Red Cross Pool/Waterfront Lifeguarding course teaches participants the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies, preventing drowning and injuries. This one day course is for individuals who currently possess an American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid certification and need to update their knowledge and skills to become certified to work at a waterfront location. Cleveland Metroparks Historical Interpreter/Naturalist Foster Brown will be leading several bicycle outings this year with the purpose of promoting health, wellness and learning cultural and natural history within and beyond our park system. If you enjoy gazing into the heavens and are fascinated with October's Hunters Moon and fall constellations, you will love this program. Pet First Aid teaches participants emergency care procedures for cats and dogs and provides tips for keeping your pet happy and healthy too. Training will be conducted on canine and feline manikins to give participants a more realistic experience in providing care. Rocky River Reservation

Over time, many diverse cultures have flourished in what we now call Ohio- come down to RRNC for a day filled with celebration of these First People of North America. Visitors will have opportunities to watch primitive skills demonstrations, learn about the tribes who lived here, take a hike in search of the natural foods and tools of indigenous people, and make a craft. The day culminates with a special appearance of renowned Native American storyteller, Robin Pease at 2 p.m.!
