Cleveland Metroparks offers remarkably diverse, hands-on education opportunities to create connections to nature and promote conservation and sustainability. 35 naturalists staff five education centers around the county and provide free or low-cost nature programming to all ages from pre-school to seniors. Nature centers are open daily for free drop-in visiting and school programs. Cleveland Metroparks education opportunities reached more than 555,000 people in 2015 through programming and nature center visits.
Committed to nature opportunities for all, Cleveland Metroparks provides bus vouchers which defrayed transportation costs to the parks for more than 8,000 urban students in the last three years. EcoExplorers and NatureTracks mobile outreach vehicles provided nearly 2,000 environmentally-based programs to more than 120,000 urban children.
Our Nature Centers invite teachers, students and the public to learn more about stormwater management and other programs that positively impact the environment. Learn more here.
