Cleveland Metroparks Honored As One Of The Best Places To Work In Northeast Ohio

Cleveland Metroparks was recently honored as a 2013 NorthCoast 99 winner, an award that recognizes the top 99 Best Places to Work in Northeast Ohio.

NorthCoast 99 is an annual recognition program that honors 99 great workplaces for top talent in Northeast Ohio. The program was developed and is presented by the Employer’s Resources Council (ERC). ERC is Northeast Ohio's leading and largest professional organization dedicated to HR practices, programs and services.

"We are very proud to bring home the NorthCoast 99 award," said Brian Zimmerman, Cleveland Metroparks CEO. "Our staff is really what makes a difference here in the Park District."

Since 1999, the program has recognized over 400 organizations that excel in the attraction, retention, and engagement of top performers by maintaining a culture and a foundation of organizational policies and practices that are designed to support the needs of these employees.

"NorthCoast 99 organizations have re-defined the Northeast Ohio workplace in good and tough times. They have crafted a strategy and put initiatives in place designed to compete locally, nationally and globally through top performer attraction and retention. This strategy is smart and in the long run will pay incredible dividends,"comments Pat Perry, ERC’s president.

This is Cleveland Metroparks seventh time receiving this annual award.

This year’s NorthCoast 99 winners will be honored at a recognition dinner on September 18 at LaCentre Conference and Banquet Facility in Westlake.
